Today I am going to review a product called  Multi Profit Websites, this is a combination product dreamed up by John Thornhill and Dave Nicholson and their development team. I must say from the off, this site was one of the most impressive sites I have ever come across in a long time. The shear usability sold it for me right away. Now how much do you think it would cost to get your own website built and maintained by a website support company? Not for what this site costs I can tell you! The price tag is very very small to what you would pay in comparison.

Anyway enough about the pricing of the site, lets get down to the business end of this site and what you can actually achieve with it. Now when you first upload the website to your webspace (with the help of the in-depth online videos I might add) you can immediately see in the personal website control panel that your options are extensive to say the least. The amount of customisable options is virtually limitless. You have the ability to add your own SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), choose your own passwords to login to the site, setup your eBay shop (if you have one) if not simply remove the option, you can affiliate any eBay product you wish from any eBay in the world, use Amazon, Clickbank, Pay Dot Com, or simply use your own content by using the easy edit HTMLbuilder which is so simple to use.

There are a host of affiliate sites you can use if you want to too, these includes Amazon, Google, Clickbank, Pay Dot Com and eBay, so if you want to simply use your site to promote products you can. With MPW (Multi Profit Websites) versatility is key as there is very little you can’t do. As you may be aware eBay changes its rules and regulations from time to time. Although eBay is my favorite site for driving traffic to my other websites and building up a list of subscribers it can be a very daunting task trying to figure out the rules on eBay. If you are simply relying on eBay alone you are bound by all the rules and changes that eBay introduces and eBay could close your business overnight.

You might remember only recently  that eBay has banned e-books being delivered electronically. This closed a lot of business on eBay as people where able to run an e-book business on autopilot before the ban. The product could be delieverd eloctronic after payment and the seller never had to ship anything. When eBay introduced the ban it closed many businesses overnight.

The key is not to be using eBay alone but to use eBay as a platform to build up a mailing list. Building a list of subscribers is the single most important thing online.. Jm Corkum  a well know marketer has the best selling book about eBay of all time “The Silent Sales Machine” It goes into great detail how to do use eBay to build up a mailing list. Jim uses eBay to generate hundreds of sign ups to his list every day using a future called the About Me page.

Also you might be aware that eBay also change the rules on feedback for sellers. Sellers could now no longer leave feedback for the buyer. Some sellers were furious when eBay introduced these new rules as they felt they were at the mercy of the buyer. So if are selling in eBay you should check the rules and regulations often.

There are a number of new features that eBay is introducing  in September to help eBay sellers. I will give you a list of some the new features below.

The first  is  the “New Listing Analytical”  feature. This will allow you to track your listings performance and sell more. The new eBay Listing Analytics application will be made available to help improve the
performance of listings and maximise sales.

The second  one is a “bulk editing feature”. More functionality will be available to manage listings on-site. Sellers will then be able to edit listing descriptions and more in bulk.

The third is an “unpaid item assistance” feature. Business registered sellers will be automatically opted in to use the Unpaid Item Assistant for listings that offer PayPal as the only payment method. The Unpaid Item Assistant is designed to reduce the time and effort it takes to manage unpaid items and get Final Value Fees back.

Next is a change to the messaging system on eBay. Changes in My Messages will make emails easier to sort, view, organise and manage.  Set up an out-of-office reply or a customised email signature.

Next is one is to do with sellers who sell  ”mp3 players and G P S systems”. Sellers in these sub-categories on eBay.co.uk must list with a matching product from the eBay catalogue as search results containing listings from these categories will be grouped
by product.

Wow, the year is passing us by very quickly. I cant believe we are nearly into July already. Anyway I have been doing a few things today to promote my business.  The first thing I done was I spent all day adding promotions to my auto responder sequences. This takes care of my auto responder promotions for the next 20-50 days. But what you need to remember is once the work is done its done. I changed the look of my blog by adding a calender and a few different features to the sidebar on the far right. You will notice I have added “Recent comments” to the top right hand corner of my blog. I would like to hear your feedback  on the look of my blog so I have added this feature.

I want to point out also how Aweber makes my life really easy  and I could not do without it. If  you have any kind of online business and you are not using Aweber you are making life extremely hard for yourself, not to mention the money you are losing every week. eBay has become profitable business for merchants around the world. The main reason this works is that it gives small vendors selling anything from books to vehicles the chance to connect with buyers regardless of where they’re located. It also helps to maximize profits by eliminating the overhead required to run a brick-and-mortar store.

But there is still overhead involved. Beyond the cost of storing and sourcing items to sell on eBay, merchants also have to navigate a list of fees associated with the service. These apply to dollar books and high-figure products alike, and they’re often higher than first-time users expect.

Here is a breakdown of the fees required to sell on eBay:

Listing Fees

These operate on a sliding scale. More expensive products are charged at a lower percent of their sale value. This means that the cheapest products like 99 cent paperback books are charged the highest fees in percentage terms.

The website entices new users by waiving the list fee the first time someone tries to sell on eBay.

Closing Fees

If the sale goes through, another fee applies. Once sale of the books or other product is finalized, the website charges an additional fee. • Closing – These fees are much more complex, and they depend both on the final sale price and the type of object the merchant is trying to sell on eBay. In this case, books and media are in the high fee category.

Making Sense of the Fees

This complex fee structure makes it difficult for new merchants attempting to sell on eBay. The system can be daunting for people selling anything from books and clothing to cars or property.

The most important strategy for anyone who is just getting starting learning how to sell on eBay is to spend time acquainting themselves with the fee structures. This happens on two levels.

First, the would-be merchant needs to consider the value of their books or other merchandise, and then compare those values to the fee structure posted on the website. A Profitable Venture
